Not completely. After reading the O-T last year, I bounced around calls with a few people and fought like crazy to get a discount from whatever standard rate they were going to renew me at, but it was definitely not 6/$30. The first chick I talked to, I was like "this is outrageous, everyone on the internet says if I complain enough, I should get $30 a month." She said she had no authority to do that and passed me on to some other people I had to battle with. Maybe they are getting tougher.

It happened to me and I had a $25 credit. They would not move on cheaper price so I told them to cancel. A few days, later, I received a call from them for the 5 months $30. I said I will take it and oh by the way I have a credit balance of $25. Sweet deal!

3 weeks ago my intro sub was set to expire, after what seemed like forever in haggling I got it until till Jan 1st for 5 bucks after paying the $22 they had billed me for my first non free month. PITA but worth it I guess.
