Apparently he is also releasing a novel to go along with the album. The song "Bringer of War" is actually a character in the book.

Yeah I'm looking forward to the book. Tremonti has grown with each album.
All I Was - what you would expect a Tremonti solo effort to sound like at the time...sort of a heavy alternative sound.
Cauterize/Dust - his heavier side. Full of speed metal riffs.
A Dying Machine - concept album where he shows his skills as a songwriter.

Very good. I need to relisten but personally liked most of his other work better.

I changed my mind after listening 3+ times. This album is incredible and is an amazing piece of writing - on par with concepts from Dream Theater and Iron Maiden. This is Tremonti at his best combining melodies skill thrash lyrics and a story. Can’t wait for the book.

Yeah it's a great album. It's a shame so many people overlook it because they hate Creed and any band member affiliated with the band.

I also recently found out Tremonti is touring with Seether (short US tour) so I am going to see them in Myrtle Beach on 9/13. They are not the headliner, which sucks, but I've never seen them live before (seen Alter Bridge twice).
