How the hell did putin get the uranium to make rissia a nuclear power?

I keep hearing on all sides how russia has built up this massive arsenal of weapons. Who helped him to do this.

Yeah, Russia has some of the biggest uranium deposits in the world. Not to mention Kazakhstan, the nation that produces the most uranium annually, shares a border with Russia and was part of the USSR up until 1991. They've had plenty of uranium since LONG before Putin.

Explain to me then why did our sec of state secretly sold 25-30 percent of our uranium to putin that i cannot understand.

Corruption in Russia is extreme. Putin may be richest man in world and about 120 oligarchs along with him have soaked up all the riches. In Russia, wealth doesn't trickle down to the masses. It flows upward to the elite.
