For those that try to keep up with recruiting

I try to keep up with recruiting as best as I can especially locally in the Lake Charles and Lafayette area. Listening to the Peter Parrish interview just let’s me know how far off I am and probably a lot of posters on this board are from kids LSU are really looking at.
He said during the interview that coach O and coach T-Rob had been in contact with him for a long time. I knew of the kid from 247’s website but had no idea we were recruiting him to come here. I don’t really remember anyone on this board evening mentioning his name until last week. Makes you wonder just how many kids that we as fans really have no idea that the staff is recruiting extremely hard.
I think it’s good to see that we aren’t waiting until this last minute like last year to move on to the next kid in line. 2018 must have left a sour taste in the entire coaching staffs mouth because they put all their eggs into one basket only to get burned by 17 & 18 year old kids with no time left on the clock. I guess that was a lesson learned.
Everything Lined up perfect to get this commitment from Parrish. Bama had already gotten two commitments (Lil Tago & Bear Bryant’s Grandson) and Auburn had a legacy in Nix so the Good Guys were there for the taking. Right place at the right time. #geauxtigers

Yeah well said and i think in the long run you always want the guy who wants to be at lsu over someone like gunnel who is wavering and will transfer at first sight of trouble

That's how it works with good kids. They dont sit there and demand this, or beg for attention with announcements of a top 10, to 7, to 3, and then a televised announcement with a hidden shirt, etc
Many kids keep there thoughts to themselves which helps them avoid the bad people (handlers) and all the external pressure. They actually make a decision based on their assessments.
Its refreshing.

I think that can be said for every commit last weekend besides Cordale Flott. Nobody on this board knows what is really happening behind the scenes in LSU recruiting.

Worth noting that the days on this board are gone where there were threads saying "coach X and Y are in ______". I think I've only seen one of those this year, excluding Burrow threads. And we have 18 commitments.

I know it's happen but can you really imagine a big time player telling a big time program they can only sign 'him" that recruiting class for his position. That's absurd. Red flags everywhere.
