Just winning the SEC would put us in the playoffs, so why play a hard one? Duh...

They schedule the OOC games so far in advance there's almost no telling if the team is going to be good or not. Miami probably seemed like a fairly easy win 5-6 years ago or whenever it was scheduled

So you don't think the same tackles from last year with depth will play at least as good or better with a better coach?

You don't think adding Lewis will provide more physicality along the interior of the OL? I think we are missing one piece and that's a good center BUT if that's developed or found this OL with the added depth should be better than it was at the end of the season.

What makes you think that it won't be? Deculus is a strong SOB and could play inside or out. We have Charles for LT, Magee/Deculus/Traeor at RT, Lewis/Deculus/Brumfield at LG, Brumfield /Cush/Lewis at C, Ingram/Deculus/Lewis at RG. Then you have Savage, Campbell and Hines also.

The OL didn't look terrible in the spring game if you take into account that it's spring and we were missing most of our starters. The run blocking looked particularly good. Pass blocking needs some work but our best tackles were out or had just gotten there. Traore will be much better by the time the season rolls around and IMO will be able to provide quality depth behind Magee to start the season and possibly pass him later on. That's not even counting how Deculus plays who we haven't seen since last year.

These guys can improve, especially now that Cregg is here. If you're saying that this OL just doesn't have talent then you're completely wrong. They are big, long, quick, strong and IMO just need to work together to find a rhythm while also getting 100% healthy.

The 2018 OL are going to be very very good but need to develop. I like our current crop also but we do need to land either a dominant LT or one that they see will be that in a year or two like with Wire and Cole Smith. Watch how good Cameron Wire is as a RS frosh or RS Sophomore. 6'7" 315 with that type of quickness and tenasity, he's going to be special IMO.

Anyway I could see 11-2 or 10-3. I just don't think we will lose more than 3 games IF Burrow plays like he's showed and has the playbook down. I think Steve E will ease him into things if he sees that he's the QB we need.

You honestly don't need this complicated offense to confuse the defense. You simply have to call the right plays at the right times to fool a defense. Do things you wouldn't typically do on first down and the like. Execute your plays. Mix pass and run on any given down and distance. Let your QB take some chances but in a smart way. Use the entire field and your entire arsenal of weapons.

Burrow doesn't seem to panic, is accurate, has a strong enough arm and sees the field. He can actually read a defense and put the ball in the place that most affects a defense. I'm telling you with a guy like that and with LSUs talent, there's almost nothing you can do to stop it.

You clearly see guys coming free while he's throwing the football and he just sits there and throws it accurately while making the correct reads. He did it in the limited time he played in games that were decided, in their spring games and in HS. He did it consistently and the people that know him and seen him play think he can carry that over so he's going to be at least as good as Etling while our offense has more depth and defense is much stronger.

The schedule is stronger as well but I think this guy is much better than Etling and has the offense which fits him while also having a very deep core of WRs who are just ready to show the world what they have. I'm ready for this season!
