My son's 12U (non-travel) baseball team won the district Tournament of Champions last night, which is an embarrassingly big deal in this small community - as the last time our league won was 2003.

An amateur photographer parent entered their home plate banner photo in the local news station's weekly contest. The entry that gets the most Likes (it's a Facebook thing) is shown on all of the Friday broadcasts.

Hoping to harness the OT's power for good by asking those inclined to stoke the excitement of some already very excited kids to help them win the contest. They're a great group - fantastic ball players and even better kids.

To vote:
(1) Click the below link
(2) Scroll to what should be the first Post ("Hey North Coast... PHOTO OF THE WEEK is here!")
(3) Select "View all comments"
(4) Like the first entry ("TOC Champs. Majors Angels. Bringing the ship back to Eureka")

Sorry that it's a bit convoluted - Facebook likes to make things difficult, it seems.

Many thanks to all who vote!

Congrats to the kids, but that is way to much effort.

If it weren't my kid, I'd agree too.

Good ideas are not an OT requirement.

Do you seriously want to draw attention to your son and other little boys on the internet?

ETA: Congrats though and also again

You can't even come to the OT without having damn baseball parents begging for free shite.

Was setting up in front of Walmart not good enough?

ETA: Damn Cali to boot.

Dad’s and Mom’s living through their kids making them play ball 40 weekends a year. What a waste of childhood for a chance at a college scholarship? Hahahaha

This reference is lost on me.

Unless you think I'm in the picture.

(I am not).
