Does Alleva provide some status to us on the programs?

Would you believe it even if he did?

The State of our Union is weak but the people are resilient.

None of that has to do with the athletic department.

True, but let us never forget, Joe Alleva is our Vice Chancellor. We bestowed that additional title on Alleva in order to entice him to lower himself to come to our university.
Just spit balling, but seems to me that good management practices would suggest he be accountable to the stakeholders from time to time.

What do you want to know, or want him to say, exactly?

And this whole "shareholders" analogy is stupid as hell, so just stop.

There’s a difference between shareholders and “stakeholders” , but it appears nuance isn’t your cup of tea...

Ok. You got me. Let me fix it.

This whole "stakeholders" analogy is stupid as hell, so just stop.

And you still haven't explained what you would like to see or hear in this "annual report" you are talking about.

It’s a public university, of course they do.

The Tigers football team made a profit of about $56.1 million in the 2016-17 academic year, an increase of nearly $1 million from 2015-16. LSU football raked in $86.1 million in revenue, most of it through ticket sales ($36.2M) and contributions ($24M). It spent about $30.1 million, much of that on coaching salaries ($11.8M).

The figures are available in the school’s NCAA financial report, a yearly summary each school sends to the governing body of college athletics. It is available through public records law. The figures are for fiscal year 2017, starting July 2016 and running through June 2017.

Yes, I am familiar with the finance report. But a report on the results and prospects of the athletic programs, standards and trends in all- sports comparisons, would be a helpful tool in evaluating the AD’s performance . It more also be roughly predictive in future revenue trends.

So you want ADs to publish a report with comparative season records. I don’t know why any AD would do that but it’d be pretty easy for you to figure out on your own.

Just come out and say what you are thinking. You have probably already made up your mind about the AD's performance, so what difference would this mythical report make?
