Why doesn’t DJT give the Waffle House hero the Medal of Freedom?

Seems like quite a no-brainer. Kid is a humongous hero and would be a great PR move as well.
The Presidential Medal of Freedom is the highest honor that POTUS can bestow upon a civilian.

I laugh at people who are scared of him running against Trump in 2020.

What this kid did was very brave, there's no denying that. I feel like if we start handing out the Presidential Medal of Freedom for acts like this, then President Trump is going to be a very busy man.
The only reason that you're probably suggesting this is because of how big of a story this is. Unfortunately there are people that commit acts of bravery all the time, they just go unnoticed because there's really no story behind them.

He hates black people.
Why else wouldn't he?

Obama gave one to his VP? That doesn't look shady, not at all.

It's only been a few days.

They’re still looking into it. Very many people, in fact, many important people are talking about it. So we’ll see what happens.

Has PDT said anything about the heroism of the Waffle House patron in a tweet? Serious question out to the Trumpers

If nothing else the young man should be nominated for the Carnegie Hero Commission Fund. It's a very prestigious award for civilian bravery.

All of these people should be able to publicly stone and shame the SRO from Parkland and then go out for a nice dinner and beers after and have the bill picked up by the taxpayers.
