Texas is one of the most desirable states to do business in and has experienced the largest influx of people in the country. This is largely due to conservative statewide fiscal policies. I guess it's working too well so you want to go in a different direction?

San Francisco has gone from one of the cooler down towns in the country to the absolute worst. So many homeless you can't walk 50 yards without aggressive panhandlers.

What does DFW have to do with it?

Can you name one profession that is only found in San Francisco?

A lot of the world's greatest tech companies, hence Silicon Valley...

I don’t blame any of them from leaving that ignorant backwards state of California.
How anyone from Louisiana can say that with a straight face is unfathomable.
As to the OP, for every one that leaves, there's two or three more looking to move in.

and in a lot of big cities the prices are so high because of the Chinese buying up everything they can to get their money out of China.
The Chinese are buying up everything in the Bay area they can get their hands on, no joke.

Those are companies. Not professions.

God you people are idiots. They're leaving because they CAN'T afford to live there because tech money has driven up the costs of R/E.

It would be smart to sell property now and GTFO

Which you can also blame on politics. Ask anyone who has tried to build or renovate a house in California and they'll talk your ear off on how much of a fricking hassle it is.
More than 90% of the high real estate market has to do with the massive amount of tech money which is centered around the area. The tech jobs are paying enough money for people to pay stupid amounts of money so of course, the prices keep going up.
People aren't moving from SF because its a hassle to renovate.

They don't have to because California capped their property tax so old people wouldn't have to leave or pay the real amount.
Plus zoning laws are fought tooth and nail to prevent further new developments.
It's crazy. I'd hold onto property as long as possible in Cali.
