I enjoy an Asian buffet. There, I said it. I know it's not going to be the best food in the city, but I like grazing on various items and I return to visit the soups multiple times. Being in the industry, I really don't like bashing restaurants online, but now that Hai Nam is no longer, I can honestly say how downhill the place had gotten. The quality became really poor with most of the pans depleted of food. When something good did come out, as soon as they restocked it, it was pillaged by the staff. I stopped going altogether. Filling condiments at my table while I was eating, literally vacuuming under my table and employee shirts so wrinkled that they looked like they had sex in them and then passed out was the icing on the cake. It really did get that bad all the way around.

Hopefully Fiery Crab won't fall by the wayside like Cochon did which failed trying to sell Cajun food to Cajuns at a higher price.

The sign looks like kind of shitty tourist trap on the coast.

"Juicy Seafood Restaurant & Bar"

My money says that this is Asian driven.

Golden Wok was a fun people watching place. The snow crab legs would run out and people would hover around in anticipation, looking like a police lineup. A little old Asian lady would stroll out of the kitchen, dump in a batch of crab, and as soon as she took a step out of the way it was like a Black Friday mob.

Seoul Oceana (I believe was the name, now Osaka) was my favorite Lafayette buffet and Lafayette's only Korean restaurant.

Popeye's gets an honorable mention. When I tell my friends around the country that we have a Popeye's with an all you can eat buffet, their jaw usually drops in disbelief.

...and I've just confirmed that this is indeed Asian owned and will have an Eastern influence.

Abacus is good. Went there on a Thursday after people on here said they serve some kind of heavenly praline chicken (don't remember exactly the dish) among a lot of other good sides and good gumbo.

I needed a nap after that lunch. Something for everyone there.

Bump for an update with pics. They really aren't messing around with the decor.
