This is actually a good thing if you're a Saints fan. Think of it like this... if the Saints play at Noon, and win, then the Panthers will already know their fate and can then rest all of their starters and important players for the playoffs the next week. This way, playing at the same time, the Panthers have to still go all out and try to win... thus creating possible injuries and so forth.
I'm happy it's at the same time. Just win baby.

Far too logical of a post to be truly appreciated by the average ranter.

Agreed. Flexing this game was necessary.

They lost their last 3 games by 3 points each. And the one before that went to overtime. This is not a totally garbage team like their record suggests. We need to bring our A game.

This is awesome! As others have said if Carolina loses we can rest the starters. Great news. I think Carolina will lose this game.
Merry Christmas guys!

Dude. Hoping for injuries? C'mon we're better than that.
ETA: all downvotes. Apparently we are indeed no better than falcons fans.

I meant to upvote this valid point but now I’m looking like that illogical ranter you’re referring to.

Haha, not necessarily "hoping" for injuries. More or less just not wanting them to get to rest their stars a week before likely playing the Saints for the third time. Also, if they rest their starters and take the day off, that means Atlanta likely has an easier time winning that game. Which means the Dirty Birds make the playoffs. frick that.
Oh and If an injury or something does happen to one of the Panthers, I wouldn't exactly lose any sleep over it.

One player in particular but I won’t mention names.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if the NFL did this for ratings.
