Looking For Your Experience w/ Camo Wrap Products

Hey guys,
I'm thinking of redoing the finish on one of my Remington XP-100 handguns. My DIY paint job isn't holding well on this gun. In addtion,
I'd kinda like to try something different.
Does anyone here have any experience w/ the DIY "camo wrap" products. Specifically, do you think it would work well for the XP? The products are mostly precut for rifle, shotgun or scope, although there's an option that's not precut. How difficult was the application? How well has the product held up? Would you do it again? Thanks for your input.

I was given a weatherby vanguard, synthetic, black. I got tired of the plain black look and bought the mossy oak graphics. Felt like I had a new rifle when I was done. Looks like it has been dipped. You can feel the seams. Has been on the gun format least 5 years and is holding up well. This pick has this gun in it. LINK

I bought a Savage Axis youth 243 on sale about 2 years ago . Well my daughter (6) wants to hunt. I bought the Mossy oak graphics set in pink break up . It comes with the pieces pre cut but they require trimming with an exacto knife. I also purchased a heat gun which helped with the install.
The wrap has only been on for a year but it makes it look like a custom gun. The only place you can feel/see the seam is at the top by the safety. It was tricky to get that part fitted just right. You have to be looking for it to notice it though.

Thanks Tiger. It is called brush. It took me a few hours, had to make a lot of relief cuts, and small patches. I am happy with it. Makes cleaning the gun easy as well

The XP's dimensions are clearly different from that of a bolt action rifle. I wonder if I'd be better off using the rifle version and modifying the pre-cut strips or using
2' x 3' roll and cutting out the strips myself to fit the XP?

Probably so. If I remember right, they have a lot of scrap left over.

My M1 Super 90 and my son's A300. Wraps are in their 3rd season and still look just as good. For the pistol, I'd recommend ordering the small roll. 2'x3' or something like that. Heat gun or hair dryer and a razor blade are really all you need. De-grease the guns good before you start.

Does this work with just synthetic sticks? My .25-06 BDL is 30 years old and pretty beat up. Would this work on a wood stock?

The mossy oak graphics says it is for any smooth, rigid surface. It does say leaves no residue if you remove it, but I find that hard to believe.
