S Caddo parish
42 deg light breeze
Box stand on a 3point road
Tikka 270wsm

Horrible start to the morning, but with this cold front and rain pushing through I had to make a hunt before work. Too perfect out here

This weekend should be ripe. I had a doe eating corn and this little spike came out to 'check' her. She promptly told him to carry his arse...and he did.

My missed what he thinks was a monster 8 point, (his definition of monster and mine are drastically different ). took 3 shots at 240yds and we feel confident he didn't hit him.

So this prompts several questions on my part...

1. How long has it been since you've shot your rifle. 7-8 years.
2. Have you dropped your rifle lately? - a couple times a year
3. When you sighted it in, how far did you shoot it? - 25yard indoor range

He also picks it up by the scope everytime he grabs his gun. This is the point i stop looking for blood and head back to my truck.
