I don’t take that as anything other than the NBA telling them they had to wait 3 games to apply like everyone else.

When the injured players come back, the exception ends. Therefore Nelson would have had to be given a non-guaranteed contract since we have 15 players on our roster.

We wanted him on for the full season so the only way to do that is to clear Crawford who isn't guaranteed but is still taking up a roster spot.

I'm guessing if you use the provision you have to sign a player with a non-guaranteed contract unless you already have an open roster spot (and you wouldn't use the provision if you had an open roster spot).

So we didn't use the exception on Nelson. Now that we have 15 guaranteed contracts we can use the medical hardship exception to sign someone to a non-guaranteed contract

Can we talk Gerald Green into a non-guaranteed contract? Lol

Pretty much everyone called it. That was the most obvious move in a long time with the Finch connection. The late Houston interest made things a bit dicier, but was still pretty confident we’d land him.

Hate that Crawford got waived. He would of been the bench scoring guard we desperately need. Plus he's the only clutch shooter on our team. It's just like BornReady getting waived or having to trade a Rasual Butler years back. Bad contracts forcing decent backups who are on great contracts to have to be forced off team bc of glaring hole and no money.

Crawford is a pro and a significant role player on a good team. Not his fault, he had to play point bc Jrue can't do shite. Tired of losing pieces bc of a numbers game that shouldn't be the case in the 1st place.

I just don't understand. Why not waive Ajinca. It's that crucial. We should've kept Crawford and started him at the 2.
