Fire/Hire Scenario - is the following possible

Because O has a $12M buyout, would it be possible to (1) fire Alleva and replace him with a good AD; (2) retain O as head coach in name only; (3) hire a "Senior Executive Head Coach" or "Chairman of Football Operations" as our actual head coach; and (4) fire O either next year (or year after) and move the "Chairman" into the HC position?
I have no idea if the numbers work but the buyout is so ridiculous LSU might be able to save $4-5M.

Man, I'm desperate. I'm trying to be creative and think outside of the box. We should at least start by firing Alleva now and hire someone to ID a new coach and negotiate a settlement with O. This could be a viable path if O digs in.

Let's demote him to concession stand clerk but still pay him his regular salary.

Make him an offer where he can (A) step down due to medical reasons and have a lump sum of $5 million to ride off into the sunset or (B) be termininated and have the situation turn very ugly for him.

Relieve him of coaching duties. Keeps his title. Aranda takes over. He can either sit on his arse or resign for another job.
