The only surprising part of this story is she actually returned home right away. Why not finish your trip at that point, you know your kids are being taken away. No way Germany would send her back that quickly right? I mean hell thats probably a legal adult in Germany.

I have to agree though, while that's being a really really shitty parent I'm not sure about the illegal part. What age is it okay to leave kids alone? Certainly not until they are 16? 15? 14? 13? 12?

Shite there are 13 year olds in HS.

I'm really curious as to the purpose of the trip.
