Recessed Trolling Motor Tray Installation

I did mine. I didn't have any issues either, but I hated every second of it until I could see i wasn't going to hit anything expensive under there.

Yea the one I want to install is aluminum, just makes my gut turn thinking about cutting that hole in my boat but i had a skeeter without one, a surface drive without one, and a bumble bee with one and it is night and day the difference in the back pain and legs after a day on the water.

I got a 95 ebbtide dyna-trak 186TS in very good condition with a 175 Johnson for $3500.00 dollars, i wasnt sure about the dyna-trak but man it has some cool features for a boat that old, also came with a hummingbird helix 9 and 7. I tried my hardest to find something wrong with it cause the price was so cheap but everything checked out perfect. I just need a new trolling motor cause it has a hand control and a recessed tray!!!

Im not sure about the bracing or how you could fix it, im sure you can take it to one of the many boat fabricators around here and they could rig some supports, as far as installing you can tie some string to the back pedestal seat on your boat, mark the template that comes with the tray directly in the middle and use the string coming from the back of the boat putting it at the middle of the point on the front of the boat, line the template up and then take a drill with a 1/2" drill bit or so and drill out all four corners, then cut with a jig saw or whatever you please!!!!
