Anyone have a link to highlights of Tigers-Aggies from 1989 regional?

I'm feeling nostalgic and wanna see the 11-inning game again. I member the first baseman doing a helluva stretch on the last out by Garrity - almost a full split. It's been at least 25 years since I rewatched that game....

I think almost none of this game exists on video anywhere, except for the few highlight clips that are out there of the final play, Garrity's hit, etc. It wasn't televised. I vividly remember being in college and sitting on the floor with a group of friends huddled around the radio listening to Hawthorne's call. From about the 7th inning on, none of us moved because the game was so dramatic. Ah the old days...

Edit: so you think you watched the full game at some point? I'm not questioning you, but if a full game video exists from that gane, I've never seen it....and would love to

you're right, it must have been just highlights. I was glued to the radio for that game.... as a 10-year old.

Kids these days are spoiled to shite with everything being televised and uploaded instantly. It's a shame there isn't video of this game out there

That game exists only in Chris Guillot's memory.

Remember being at False River listening to The Voice on the radio. Incredible outcome.

I remember listening to both games on the radio and only memory I have is Garrity (I think) hitting a double down the right field line ( which seems to be one of the only highlights I remember on the news) Hawthorne was the man back then and his calls really gave a great picture of what happened in the games.

I don't have anything but my memories, but they are extremely vivid because I was there with my buddy, Kenny Johnson. We made the last minute road trip up there prior to summer school for law school and paid our room day to day because we weren't sure how far LSU would go. Texas A&M had lost only 4 or 5 games that year and we came back and took two from them Sunday to go to Omaha. It was awesome. There were only probably 200 LSU fans there but we made noise. I heard one Aggie fan bitching in between games that he didn't bring his second game tickets because there was no way in hell LSU was beating the Aggies....lmao

The Aggies were actually pretty gracious after we beat them and they wished us good luck in Omaha.

It was an awesome series and one of my greatest memories and road trips to watch LSU sports, that includes football road trips. After the game we got to hang out with the team at the hotel and they were awesome. Truly was a great time.

PS...we were hammered the entire trip...lol

Geaux Tigers!!!
