Don't get me wrong Newman has been great but he hasn't had a 1-2-3 inning all season. You don't frick around with bats like MSU has in their lineup. In all reality Newman isn't the kind of pitcher you want as a true closer. Set up guy? Absolutely.

And it was a perfect setup for us to face their 7-8-9. Glad we didn't have to see Rooker at the plate again in the 9th.
