So in Seagrove this weekend, any recommendations to watch the football games?

30A is not really conducive to a rowdy, wild, passionate football viewing crowd it seems. Have been in the area 2 years in the past whenever there was a football game scheduled that I hoped to watch, and both times just ended up watching back at the place we were renting. Sorry this post wasn't really helpful at all... I'm going to try to down vote myself.

It would seem 30A is just too damn classy to throw down for games, or the other possibility I'd that i didn't know the correct people

Watch ESPN. You can get an Apple TV for $70 at a Best Buy in Destin, pull Watch ESPN on your phone or iPad and watch on the TV in your condo/house.

P.S. My favorite little spot on earth. I have been going to Seagrove since the late 70's. AMAZING place. Enjoy!

Because you are going to find so many BAMA and GA fans there, you are going to have to retreat to your view of the ocean and watch in your condo

Go to Whiskey Bravo, about 1/4 mile East of 395/30A intersection. They have a good menu, decent beer selection, TV's in the booths downstairs, and outdoor dining upstairs if the weather is good. They also have a gameday menu of bar food and appetizers that are a good price, and the view used to be incredible but 3 or 4 huge houses went up right across the road as of last time I was there.

Acme Ice House in Sea Crest. The front of the restaurant is a sports bar with TVs everywhere and always a decent football crowd on Saturdays. They have Abita on tap too. I can tell you there and maybe Stinkys are your 2 best and really only options for a game watching type atmosphere.

Local here. My recommendation is The Hub, which is a new-ish place that's part of Prominence, just east of the main entrance to Watersound. It's set up kind of like an outdoor food court with a big (artificial) grass area in the middle, so if you've got kids they can go run around and stay out of the way where you can still keep an eye on them. Big projection screens for the ballgames. Bear in mind that you most likely won't be able to hear the game, so if that's important I'd pick somewhere else.

Other than that, the suggestions others have made are good too--Acme Ice House in Seacrest is owned by a colleague's husband, and they have delicious cheese grits, but like most everything on 30A it can be pricey. If you're looking to be a little less yuppie-fied than the Seaside/Rosemary crowd, I recommend McTighe's or Local Catch, both in Blue Mountain Beach.

I'd avoid the Saints game and go do something fun

The only spot I would add to the list is Shades which is just east of Rosemary Beach at the corner of 30a and Hwy 98. I'm partial to the HUB but Shades is definitely a sports bar and will be a pretty lively place to watch games on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday might be tough to find a seat. By the way, there are plenty of LSU and Saints fans on 30a.

The Florida Panhandle is WhoDatNation so you shouldn't have a problem finding the Saints.

Pensacola loves the Saints more than Shreveport.

Just drive into Destin and go to O'Quigley's and watch the games at a real sports bar. You'll find some Saints/Tiger fan there for sure.
