Wanting to put down a surface for carport. Suggestions please.

I have decided on buying two 20x26 metal carports to put my boats, trailer, and Polaris under. I have fairly well draining sandy loam soil. I do not want to have to mow under the things and would like to put down a "floor". We may be moving in the next 5-10 years and I may move the carports with us.
I will need 41 x 30 total.
Truck will not be driven on the floor only the things listed above.
At least a portion of one carport will be used for my dogs kennel also.
What would yall suggest?
Concrete border (to keep gravel from spreading out) with gravel fill in center?
If so which gravel/rock?
I would then use pavers for dog kennel.
Asphalt?
Solid concrete?
Pavers?
Other?

Just gravel, or whatever cheap aggregate you can get your hands on. I'd try to find people giving away small amounts cheap as leftovers from projects. Mix whatever types of rocks you can get your hand on. I wouldn't bother with a concrete border. If you must, I'd use landscape timbers or something cheap. If all you are doing is pulling boats and trailers into it, the gravel won't spread out too far from the cover. Just apply copious amounts of roundup around the area so you don't have to weed-eat in the gravel.
I'm a cheap fricker though, and don't have any inspectors at my house. Some folks have a wife particular about these things.

If you add rock, don't you want to add a barrier underneath to keep the rock from pushing down in the soil?

Obviously, concrete is the answer. Expensive though and may not be worth it if you are moving soon.
I wouldn't use gravel, its a PITA.

BP, if you're gonna do that, I would go ahead and price the concrete. May not be that much difference in price.
Asphalt is slick when it's wet and oil and gas deteriorate it quickly.

Go with crushed limestone. I did the same thing as youre thinking a few years ago and works great. Have my trailer and boat parked in it.

There is a mixture very similar to crush n run that you can get at Lowe's Home Depot that will solidify once it gets wet. Crush N Run doesn't. It will eventually wash out over time.
