Arkansas Mountain Vacation Ideas

Want to take the wife and 3 daughters to a mountain/cabin type retreat in Arkansas/Tenessee when its snowing next year. Is Thanksgiving a good time for this? Any suggestions on places to go and time of year to go. Not interested in skiing. Just a good cabin experience kind of vacation. Daughers are 14, 11 and 3.
Thanks in advance.
So obviously Arkansas is not a good option. Please recommend me any good places to take the wife and daughters to a cabin/mountain retreat vacation where there will be snow and recommend me a good time to go.
Thanks in advance.

Think you're going to be looking elsewhere.

The later the better... That said, you'll have to be extremely lucky to catch it when it snows. In my experience, it snows up there then melts off in a few days. My family used to have a cabin in Mountain Home, AR fwiw...

Way too early for snow.

For sure, the best snows are in early spring up there.
I would say on average N. Arkansas gets 4 winter weather events a year and its on the ground for 16 days total... meaning it will snow and hang around for 4 days.

Northwest Arkansas gets much more snow (and it stays on the ground longer) than the rest of the state. With that said, Thanksgiving is still very early to have any reasonable chance for snow. Late December through January would be better, but even then it would be a crapshoot. At most, they get maybe 2-3 good snows a year

If snow is an absolute must, you need to go into the Rockies or high up in the east coast at that time of year.
Sorry, did not see your edit.
We did gatlinburg for new year a couple years ago and got hammered with snow. Kids had fun too.

We stayed Here
It's in Wears Valley just outside of gatlinburg and pigeon forge. Kids had a blast. We hiked, checked out waterfalls etc. plus, every tourist trap type of business offering is there too. My 12 year old says its his "most favorite " vacation. Including having been to Disney.

Have you considered the Ponca area in the late fall? You get really nice temps, beautiful foliage, and bugling elk. It is a really cool experience, although the chance of seeing snow is almost nil.
