If you don't already know, you can usually add "Offers for you" from certain retailers onto your card which gives you statement credits after using your card at those retailers

I've saved quite a bit just in the past few months:

50 off 150 at Flemings
15 off 75 at Walmart
25 off 75 at Amazon
5 off 30 at ExxonMobil
5 off 30 at Chevron
20 off 79 at Walmart
5 off 25 at BP

This is just a heads up for those that may not know...i usually get a statement credit 4-6 weeks after, but i usually get an iphone alert from my amex app as soon as the card is charged at the retailer

Anyone else keep an eye on these periodic offers and take advantage?

ETA: my card is an amex blue cash preferred, i'm not sure how much your card dictates the offers you receive

I'm pretty sure you can load as many as you like to your card but you can only use each deal once

Sometimes they have repeat deals though, which you can use again

All of these deals will have expiration dates also

You can see available deals on the Amex site or on the app

I never use my Amex on amazon so I had to add it for one purchase just to cash in

I have a 20 off 79 I need to use before Dec 31 for Walmart but I think it only applies to Walmart.com

I hate not using free money but can't think of anything I need

The $5 off a $25 purchase at BP can be used until the end of the year, not like the other gas offers I've had so far that were only good for one swipe.

Log in through chase ultimate rewards and use Amex to get discount. You still get the chase points and the cash back from Amex.

I used the $30 off at Tiger direct for $100 spend as well.

Do I have to add the offer on the app before I use it (I presume so)? Also, if I add the offer to my account, but don't use it, am I charged?

In other words, is there any disincentive to just adding every deal to my account that pops up?

You must load it before you purchase and no there is no risk in adding whichever ones you want to your card

I'm not sure if they limit how many you can have loaded at a time but I've had the same thought to just add them all

You can also search retailers nearby that have offers currently on the app, pulls up a map view
