Dow Jones 15,731 the real milestone?

Regarding the stock market numbers this week:

"Of course, the notion that these were "record" highs was not, strictly speaking, true. As Jeff Cox as CNBC pointed out, "in inflation-adjusted dollars, the Dow would need to hit 15,731.54 to break the record.'"

Actually, Mr. CNBC Cox, it is indeed "strictly speaking" true. Now practically-speaking, I totally get your point, Mr. Cox.

Inflation or not, the Dow set a record. It's technically true, it's strictly speaking true, and it's actually true.
