I work in the industry. Are you looking for specifics on the company or being a financial rep in general?

i guess a little bit of both. I'm in sales now with a base and com. which is nice.

how difficult is it to sell life insurance

Selling in general is difficult, but it's def. one of the harder things to sell.

Started there as an intern before my senior year then worked another 2 years after I graduated as a full time rep. So was there for 3 total. I honestly loved it. It is by no means easy. It's all about establishing a strong market and working your arse off. It's straight commission which can be very rewarding and very tough. I didn't make it for a few reasons. My natural market was just not in the position to benefit from anything I had to offer. And I struggled adjusting to that and entering an unnatural market. You have to work your butt off the first 5 years, and still work hard the next 5. I know MANY who have not made it past year 1. But at the same time, know plenty, who have done great year 1 and 6 figures or close to it year two. Their training is top notch, and they really try hard to teach you and give you everything to be successful at it.
I wish I would have survived. Still and option to go back one day

Each product give a different rate. But you can estimate an average of 75-80 the first year. Then each year it decreases until year 4 I believe when it's at 55. At which it stays. But you also have to factory in renewals and other income after year one.
My suggestion is to at least go talk to the recruiter. All the recruiters state wide are amazing and helpful. Whether you decide to work there or not, they'll give you great insight into not only the company but the industry.
I'm assuming someone referred you to work there?

Just like any sales position. There is really no limit to what you make. Just depends how hard you work

i put up my resume on indeed.com and was contacted by Abigail Payne. I've never put any thought into this industry so thats why I'm curious. thanks for the info guys and i'll see what she has to say.

My wife started as an intern and then transitioned to a full time rep for a little while. It is hard to get started unless you are already well connected within a somewhat wealthy network. It can be done but she decided it wasn't for her. First few years are rough but if you make it through that you can definitely make some good money and basically set your own schedule. Good luck!
