And damn Val's for taking this long to reopen. That restaurant has flooded at least 10 times in my lifetime. They should be pros at it now.

They normally they are, but we talked with the owners one night and the water was table height. Everything had to be trashed and the stoves, etc had to be ordered. Just took awhile to get all the equipment in...

Val's never flooded the way they did in Issac. No one ever had. Busted all the prior high water records by a couple of feet. Val's is my favorite of the 3-love the little old lady that waits tables, I think, in her late 80's.

There were a couple large steel storage containers in front of there the last time I drive past.

Try the steaks at Dutch's on tuesday and thursday night, for the price you'll be blown away.

That's what I've heard. Still haven't made it that way. Maybe I'll find an excuse this week.

FYI- they have moved to the building with Fred's in Port Vincent. They also have all you can eat boiled shrimp and dungeness crabs on Wednesdays. Price is a little steep at ~$30 but the shrimp are large and everything is seasoned very well ...

I haven't tried the seafood there yet.

The man can cook a steak, hell I can't seem to order anything else after be spoiled by their steak nights.
