Ok guys I'm cooking for the family for Christmas lunch and I've never bought a ham before. Looking to do a spiral glazed ham and was wondering what a good price for one was?
Kroger has one for $1.49/lb but didn't know if that was good or not
Thanks in advance

That's a good price - just bought one at Winn Dixie on sale and paid $1.79 lb. Usually they average $2.29 lb.

It should be fine because really all you are doing is heating it up. I threw mine in the freezer (they freeze well) and will take it out a day or two before Christmas.

Should be fine, especially if unopened. Check the use by date on the package.

Chunk the glaze pack that comes with the ham and use something like this instead.
Root beer glazed ham
I like the Abita rootbeer. You want something that uses real sugar instead of HFCS.

Thanks Y A. I was going to put a run on it and smoke it and then I can do the glaze last hour
U think it will be ok with both a glaze and a rub?
