haloumi cheese

Anyone here ever cook this? If so, how and did you put anything on it for seasoning? Thanks.

Yea, used olive oil.

You need to get the oil real hot, cut slices of cheese not to thick but not too thin. I threw some minced garlic in and fried on each side about 1-2 mins until the golden brown color is achieved.

The first time I cooked it, I barely sprinkled any garlic powder on it, and I thought I over did it. Last few times I've cooked it w/o garlic powder and it has came out very tasty.

It needs the garlic flavor, but garlic can burn and not taste so good if it's too brown. Have to have a fine line there in the oil.

Whatever you do don't salt it. It is a salty cheese as is.
