I found a loophole in the cease and desist order on the TM7 HB stuff...
Ya'll remember when the nickname was just getting legs and Hawrthrone call him the "Golden Badger"?
We'll...you want to know what I did?
I made some Golden Badger tee-shirts to seell outside the stadium next week....

Well, who is the college team that the mascot is the golden badger? Really ... there is one. Can't remember who ..

Has the NCAA done this with any other schools? First the NFL says people can't use "who dat" bc they own the rights, now the NCAA does it with "honey badger"! I guess that's what happens when you're winning championships!

You're thinking of the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

It's a border-school between Wisconsin and Minnesota.
The Wiskesota Golden Badgers. They do a lot of drinking there.

Make the damn shirts you want. All you need are some Iron on patches and photoshop. As long as you aren't going to market them, nobody gives a shite.

just make honey badger tees without the number 7 or Mathieu's name.

It is an LSU cease and desist - but it is based on NCAA rules (bylaw 12.5).

this.
I still dont understand how people read that and came away thinking you couldnt print anything with honey badger on it. It clearly states that honey badger ALONG with the #7 and/or a reference to his name or TM7 is not allowed.

1.) LSU ordered the cease and desist. Not the NCAA.
2.) You can still sell honey badger shirts, It just cant have TM or tm7 or the number 7 or his name or anything on it.

Tiger district is still selling their HB shirts, they clearly know the rules b/c their shirts never said TM7, HB 7, or anything that equates to LSU.

Technically Yes...It was sent out by LSU. However, my understanding is LSU sent it out because the NCAA basically told them to.
