By adding Carr the Saints are back up to ~$28mil over the Cap.

Next up will be Restructuring Lattimore to save ~$10 Mil

Restructure Kamara to save ~$5.5 Mil

Restructure Peat to save ~$5.5 Mil (I know many wat him gone but you only sabe ~2 Mil by cutting him)

Cut Winston to save ~$4.5 Mil

Cut Hurst to Save A~$4.5 Mil. Peanning will start at either Right or Left Tackle next season and Ram will play opposite.

Tatal Savings ~$30 MIl to get the Saints to a little less than 2 mil under.

Then you can work on Thomas and Jordan to free up the raminder.

Still a lot of work to do and the scouting dept needs to have a home run draft this year and next.

it’s this or have 3 years of purgatory before being able to reset. This roster built the way it is now was never going to be in reset mode this off season. At least now we have somewhat of a chance to compete for something. I’m not sold on carr either but it’s better than the alternatives

Well bud, you can bitch and moan and cry and scream, but he’s the new QB of this franchise. Get behind it or get off the wagon.

Cutting Hurst would be the stupidest thing we could do. Dude is solid & dependable.

Why?

I'm a fan of the Saints, not the 2023 Saints only.

Yea he is really valuable to the team. Hope he isn’t a casualty.

I agree however, they have to get under the cap. Perhaps Thomas and/or Cam can restructure to get us under before having to make hard difficult cuts, but I see no way to get under and far enough under to be able to afford even the draft pick we will need to sign without having to cut some players we maybe would like to keep.

Change your cuts on some guys (like Jameis) to a post June1 cut and our 2023 cap situation gets a lot easier.

2024 is fricked, though
