Maybe it’s changed since I was in college, but our PWOs had to be enrolled for a year before getting awarded a scholarship? Anyone know if that’s still the case?

PWO is not an official designation, its just an understanding he has a spot on the roster without competing fo rit. He is essentially an unsigned player who can sign with anyone at any time subject to any NCAA signing periods. Once enrolled and practicing with the team there may still be some restrictions about awarding a scholarship during the season.

If you really wanted to know you would have done a little research. The kid was ranked 699 in the 247 composite. There were kids ranked lower than him AT HIS POSITION that SIGNED with SEC schools during the early period. If you look at players regardless of position ranked lower than him you'll see guys that signed with Tennessee, Auburn, Arkansas, Mississippi State, Oregon, Wisconsin, Clemson, and Texas. I think when that many players with a similar ranking have signed with some of the same schools on his offer list, it's only fair to assume that at least a handful of the offers on his list were legitimate.

Is he a fall enrollee?

I think someone said we have 6 spots available heading into the Spring. Based on what happens between now and fall, if we have an available scholarship, could he get it?

Not sure about this but with NIL I’m pretty sure his tuition will be paid for until he receives a scholarship. You can give players pretty much any amount of money these days as long as it’s not the school paying for it and I don’t mind it the way it is now

TOPS, if he qualifies, will cover less than half of the cost to attend LSU

Yes, He's not precluded from getting other scholar ships or Pell grants
