Man, I remember when LSU was good enough to not even care about stats against a school like UAB.

But but we won the SEC West!! I can’t believe there are actually people that exist that want this guy back at QB next season.

He can come back and hopefully it clicks for him but he needs to work his butt off this offseason and may the best quarterback win the job. I’m just worried that teams will give him the same look Arkansas gave him and he doesn’t know how to beat that look. That will be on Daniels and Denbrock to figure out.

This is like those Jordan Jefferson numbers at the end of 2011.

He lost all confidence because teams starting playing a lot of zone. Zone makes the receivers look covered to JD when they really not but he doesn’t throw. He’s had some turnovers and that has caused hesitancy also.

Yeah let’s ignore his 22/29 ~300yd game against UAB just because…

it’s called playing 2 games on the road against good SEC defenses. I’m sure his “confidence” will miraculously come back against UGA this weekend…

The last three teams we played used the same ideas that UT and Auburn had success against us with. They dropped 7 or 8 often and played a lot of zone with plenty of defenders facing the play to keep Daniels’ running yards to a minimum. UAB and A&M didn’t execute it as well as UT and Auburn (especially UAB), but Arkansas certainly did.

Daniels has been much better against man defense, especially playing at home. He’s been more willing to take a few deep shots and has even been willing to throw it over the middle. It also gives him a much easier path to big plays on the ground. Drop zone takes all of that away. He doesn’t have the confidence to throw guys into the open windows, so he holds the ball more and either bails late or takes a sack.

Daniels did a better job passing the ball against A&M than he did vs Auburn or Arkansas, but his mistakes, especially the turnover, were costly.

arkansas DC laid out the blueprint.

Auburn and UT did the same before Arkansas. Arkansas is just the best at playing zone because that’s Odom’s base defense.

He has played hard for us this year and for this I am grateful but Daniels is not the QB for us next year. He is who he is at this point in his career.
BK recruited Walker Howard to Notre Dame. It's time for Jaime's kid to be the QB that takes LSU to the next level Offensively. The current LSU WR Corps and WR Recruits will be relieved when JD5 announces that he's going Pro.

Thanks for the help Jayden, but it's time to move on up and out to a new deluxe apartment in the sky........

Daniels doesn't like cold weather. He struggled in it at ASU as well.
