I would like to have hurricane rated shutters installed on my house (Praireville,LA). Any recommendations / experiences with shutter installers would be appreciated.

Don't you just love when people do this crap?

Or the ones looking for pricing on "I want to remodel my bathroom-----how much is it going to cost"?

No info as to how big the bathroom is, what exactly they want done, what type materials they want to incorporate, etc.

With the exception of Ida, Prairieville rarely gets winds high enough to necessitate hurricane shutters in my opinion. Gotta take a direct hit from a bad one and those are rare - again, exception being Ida. Before that, when was the last direct hit from a major hurricane in AP?

Is this something that is required in order to get insurance coverage for Wind?

Tell us more about what you're trying to achieve, so maybe you'll get some useful suggestions.

I recently had a lot (500 square feet) of shutters built/installed, but they were Bahama style shutter versus hurricane shutters.

Whatever you're doing, come up with a total square footage. This will be helpful when discussing the size of the job with anyone that may be able to help you.
