For FCS if you can beat teams in the P5 it's a big deal whomever it is. Also CMU is no slouch like a New Mexico State....they have a good program.

Despite changing HC's, they've kept their offensive and defensive systems in place so there's no transition period. They've been running that multiple heavy offense for a long time with great success so there's no pressure to change. The first guy that comes in and says "we are switching to an RPO offense" or some other "modern offense" will have the school's first losing season and be put on the hot seat immediately.
