Look at the Northshore pic and the NOLA pic. The “wire” you see connects the two. The body of water is not the gulf but Lake Ponchartrain. The “wire” is the causeway- aka “the longest bridge in the world” (at one time).

They gave it its own category. It's still the longest bridge "continuously over water" in the world.
The others that are longer have sections where it has landings on islands or other land masses.
