More important...coach or class?

We all want to know who the next coach is. Why wouldn't we? I've read many people on here say "If coach X goes the playoffs, timing would probably kill the deal". This is a multi-million $ decision. Of course we want to hold this class together. Let's just use Fickell as the example here. Would you rather wait for him, loose a few recruits and get him for the next 10+ yrs or go with a plan B and do it now?

With the transfer portal, losing out on recruits during a coaching transition can be lessened or totally alleviated. At this point, we should all just want SW to hire who he thinks is the right coach, not put some arbitrary deadline on him because we don't want to loose a few recruits.
