re: Riley will lead USC to the playoffs within 3 years, T/F?

This isn't just sour grapes as I never thought he was actually coming to LSU, but i think Riley flames out like every other coach at USC and is fired before year 5.

He doesn't have the grit and determination that's gonna be required to completely turn around the culture there, and he has no idea how to rebuild from the ground up since he inherited a well-oiled machine from Stoops at OU. If he couldn't get over the hump at a blueblood like OU, how will he at a floundering USC that hasn't sniffed success in the last decade?

I just don't feel like he's a good fit there culturally or ability-wise, and this hire legitimately surprises me the most.

I think LSU was focused on the wrong coach from Oklahoma the whole time, maybe they should be considering hiring a second coach away from Oklahoma State instead.

Gundy would KILL IT at LSU with a good DC, and he's considered other jobs multiple times before. If I'm Woodward, I'm making a last minute all-out play for him.
