Which in turn depends on how the parent matured said 15 year old.

At 15, I had my own drivers license, car, and part time job. Leaving me to fend for myself was not a thing, but then if you pamper a child and never give them any responsibilities, you will have a child who’s maturity has been stunted.

It’s the parent that’s the problem or the solution. Always has been
