What we mistakenly refer to as news is just social programming designed to reinforce whatever the establishment narrative du jour is.

They believe in the validity of the news so until they can be shown repeatedly how they are being lied to and reject that messaging you will certainly be viewed as the crazy one because your frame of consciousness is completely parallel to theirs.

I was a senior in college in 1980, the election year when jimmy Carter (incumbent) was running against Reagan. I knew about the Iran hostages situation, the bad economy, and the misery index, just to name a few of the wonderful things that were happening during the carter admin. Despite this, the broadcast networks, and most, if not all, major newspapers, magazines, etc, all endorsed Carter for POTUS. At that moment I knew the msm was FoS and hostile to America and I've never bothered to listen to them since.

This is not a new thing, Walter Cronkite was as guilty if this as any mainstream media outlet today. He was called the most trusted man in America even by conservatives. You access to information then was very limited. Today there are thousands of information sources, with a little digging it is possible to get a broad and possibly more honest view f what is happening in the world.
