re: Monty Python’s holy grail

My favorite comedy of all time and I have probably quoted every line from the movie in some situation or another in my life.

A couple of tidbits, in the first draft (which, like the people in charge of the opening credits ended being sacked) they actually found the Holy Grail. They found it in the Holy Grail department at Herrod's. In the witch burning scene if you look closely you can spot Eric Idle biting his sword to keep from cracking up and breaking character before John Cleese says his "because they're made out of wood" line. Cleese paused for different amounts of time before delivering that line from take to take and the take they ended up using was the one where he paused the longest. Also the part where Cleese as Lancelot running toward Swamp Castle was actually shot in England after the rest of the movie had been filmed. Jones and Gilliam decided that the way he originally ran towards the castle looked too silly so they reshot it later. Also if you look really closely there is a modern day boat complete with an outboard motor in the background of one of the shots around the Castle Arrgh towards the very end of the movie.
