Everybody keeps saying Aranda. You do realize they got a handful of coaches in front of him to miss on right??????? Now don’t get me wrong, I would be happy too.

SPOKEN from someone who knows jack chit about the guy. He has won everywhere he has been even as a player. 4 year starter at Mount Union college. School was something like 53 and 2 while he was there w/ 3 Div III championships and he was ALL american. Then as an OC there they won 2 more championships. At toledo he turned around a chitty program into a winning program beating Arkansas in bowl game his final year and was 2015 MAC coach of the year there. Now at ISU a perennial dumpster fire he has 6 winning seasons. 3 x Big 12 coach of the year. IN the schools modern history I think they have only had 11 winning seasons and majority of them are his not to mention bowl appearnces. He as career winning percentage is 63%. So u can say he isnt a splash hire, say he doesnt do it for you but to say he is pathetic hire is just stupid.

Exactly LSU should be exacted about a coach that has coached at bowling green, Toledo, mount union, and Iowa st. That is some high caliber schools he has been to especially as an assistant. Makes perfect sense for an LSU to hire him.

Aranda is my first choice great defensive coach; knows Louisiana which is great for recruiting, Napier would be second choice ; I don’t understand the fascination with Riley. If he was that great a coach How so you excuse the embarrassing beat down by LSU in 2019. Sorry that is way to bad of a loss especially in a playoff game.
