Herman would have won big here and would have still been coaching. Texas fired a guy who gave them their best season since the championship appearance in 2009. A man who had all winning seasons and went 7-3 in a covid year DURING all the bull crap in the news and behind the scenes about losing his job (compare him dealing with that to Ed's dumbass dealing with his over the last 2 years), for a guy who has given them their first losing season since before they hired Herman. Herman is the only Texas coach since 2010 (that's four Texas coaches), who hadn't had a losing season.

Tom Herman would have won us a championship and would have never had problems with Aranda. Aranda probably wouldn't have left as early as he did (look at Kirby under Saban and Venables under Swinney).

LSU people, Louisiana people, Louisiana media, campaigned for Elmer Ed Fudd because he was "one of us". Well Napier isn't "one of us", he's just been coaching well here in Louisiana, so people are extremely enamored with that. He's recruited guys LSU doesn't want in Louisiana (great guys who would do well at other low tier power programs), and Louisiana recruiting guys are enamored with that. People talk about his "Saban" approach to a program, but hate Mel Tucker whose also been known to have this same approach and coached under both Saban and Smart, and recruited damn well for both.

This is the first time I've really spoke in length about it, but I'm just so tired of it.
