Why do they continue to refer to him as a jogger
He was up to no good
Did he deserve to die - no
But stop that he was completely innocent in this
Accept responsibility for your actions

What is your proof of this?
Not your “hunch” - your proof. Be specific.

Did he deserve to die - no
Then what does it matter?

There hasn’t been a lick of evidence produced that he did anything wrong.

Does that mean he should’ve listened to the McMichaels?

So this mentality is a slippery arse slope.
First, there was no evidence he was “up to no good”. Travis McMichael’s specifically said in his testimony they had no prior knowledge he committed a crime, did not see him committing a crime, and only saw him “just jogging”. They assumed he was the person who was committing burglaries in the area (no proof that he was).
In this incident, whether he has a previous record or not, yes he was innocent. The assumption that he might be a person who had broken in some houses in the area is the flimsiest fricking excuse to do what they did.

A poster in another thread made a good point about this I think. If they thought he was up to no good and wanted to chase him out of the neighborhood that wouldn't be such a bad thing. However they should have never introduced gunplay into it at all. That's where they really went over the line and it led to a shooting death and now they're fricked.
That was a pretty good assessment I thought because even if the guy was stealing stuff the penalty for theft is not death under the law
