Eta- just did some more reading- according to a BBC article, police said he was driving in a zig zag pattern to hit as many people as possible. That’s much different than what I had seen up to this point. Maybe he was specifically targeting white people?

Driving a car through the parade while running from the cops in your own town that’s 90% white doesn’t mean you are specifically targeting white people. However, a preponderance of evidence can certainly change that.
When it first happened with the video we had I believed it was just a POS that was running out of options and decided to just take out innocent people indiscriminately. The more that has come out, the more I’m leaning to the idea it was not indiscriminate.
