I will tell you if the Aircraft are late or early. Generally it is not the pilots fault. They are given a time to arrive. They launch and make their time. It is the stadium org job to be on time. Once they are Airborne they are not going back.

No, they were early - they should have appeared just as the anthem ended.

That is a crappy formation!!

Dash 4 better be taking a picture. Of course, what do you expect from the Air Farce?

I wonder how much something like that costs? How do you arrange it, and which base do the jets come from?

supposedly it is free cause they use them as training missions and recruitment tools. which i guess timing could be a big thing to learn if you are bombing something at exactly a certain time

LSU AFROTC puts a request (45days in advance) with DoD once it is approved it goes on what is essentially a big board for one of the flying units to pick it up and say that they want to do it. It just happened that the TX ANG (Texas Air National Guard Unit got it this time) Some of the issues that comes with why LSU hasn't had many Fly overs is because DoD has a rule against what they call "twilight hours" which hinders are, LSUs', ability to put in a request. It costs LSU nothing, we, the taxpayers foot the bill. I believe that they are trying to put in a request for the Alabama game.

That would be the missing man formation. During times of war, the 5th plane does not fly in honor of those who died and/or currently serving.
