This cannot be overstated. For watching live tv, what works for you will be based off of 2 main items. What channels/shows do you watch, how well you adopt to their platform.
First thing you'll want to do is a simple search comparing all of the live package options. This will show you what platform has what TV stations.
In regards to Roku, Fire... I actually prefer the SmartTV options and load up whatever I need through their app store. I have a few Rokus for my Peloton type apps that aren't offered
