Anyone else use the GameFly service? Were your experiences with them good or bad? Do they have any competitors?

I just bought a PS3 and have no games for it. I also have a Wii. What are some good games to rent? I just signed up for that new Star Wars: Force game it looked pretty cool from the ads. I'm looking for other suggestions for my game queue.

Thanks.

Compared to getting movies by mail like netflix/blockbuster I thought it took them longer to receive and mail back the games. Probably depends on where you live.

How does that work if there are other games in my queue? Will they send the 2nd game in my queue, or will it just sit there until it's available?

Theyll send u whatever they have.

If the game is low availiability you wont get it.

i signed up and had madden and two other low availiability games on my queue.

I got madden 2 weeks later.

gamefly is terrible unless you want to try some older or less popular games.

exactly, go to blokcbuster or buy star wars but i would def put all older games in the queue, try a bunch of games you may really like one that is not one of the more popular ones

I'm guessing the people with negative comments don't use gamefly.

If you pick all new games, yeah you're gonna be in for quite a wait. But if not, you get games relatively fast. If you have the two game plan you can even report a shipping problem when returning one game, so they'll send out a third within 2-3 days - then send back your old game and wammo, you didn't have to wait gameless.

I've always gotten games less than two weeks after adding them to my queue, I've never gotten a scratched disc or had any other problems.

It's ok. Not as good as netflix, but the games cost 3 times as much, so I can see why they don't have as many of each to send out. If you're doing it to get the newest games that are coming out, then don't bother. If you're doing it because there are a lot of older games you want to play and only play a game once, then it's great. It's much cheaper than renting, especially if you play casually and take over a week to complete a game. They have started to get the post office to scan the return and they'll send you your next available game out right away. That way you don't have to wait for them to receive your return before sending out the next one.
