What was his defenses at LSU ranked? Obviously not like the horrible last two years! However, I don't remember being impressed. I guess I was spoiled rotten! Does anyone know where to find those rankings/stats

His defenses were good. Not 2003 and 2011 good but solid.

The 2019 defense got off to a slow start and gave up a lot of big plays, but they were lights out in the postseason

He’s my personal #1 choice to replace O.

2016 was definitely an elite defense, maybe not quite those years but they were pretty close. Didn't give up more than 18 points in any of the 4 losses that year and shut down Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson in the bowl game.

Not sure why you got downvoted. The 2003 and 2011 defenses should be what we strive for each year.

Agree, but keep in mind CFB offense has changed since then and those defenses were very well rested.
