Smoke during the game

Does anyone have any information on where that cloud of smoke came from around the end of the third quarter? Noticed a lot of students running to the top just to see nothing. Had a smell of burning fireworks and seemed to make my eyes burn a little. Anyone know if it's from a fire or something at one of the chemical plants?

a building was on fire down highland toward downtown, there were still a bunch of firetrucks there after the game

Yes...we bitched about moving a game over a hurricane, why the frick would we do something for a toxic cloud from a chemical plant fire settling over the stadium.
The wind speed and direction doesn't support it either...I checked all that when first saw the smoke.

I thought about that, because the winds were right for it....but that seemed to be wayyyy too far from the stadium to put that much smoke in.

House fire at East Polk and Highland Rd.

Asked a cop on the way out of the stadium and he said it was a car fire.
