This isn't really the case - Logain in the books is extremely powerful, a step below Ishamael, Rand and probably another forsaken or two but and in line with Demandred, Sammael and some of the second level forsaken I believe. Not sure if they are powering him down or if they will really get into relative power levels as much.

Nyneave is a couple steps below Lanfear and Alivia (who are at the top), there are a few others above Nyneave as well. They also grow in the power over time in the books, again unsure if this feature will be highlighted as much given time constraints.

But to your point, I'm unsure if we are going to get too much into the who can see weaves, who can sense other people's powers, etc. - at least at first. It may just muddy the waters and be confusing to audiences still trying to wrap their heads around other aspects of the worldbuilding.

They may be deciding to just let people interpret it as they see fit for now, and will go into more detail about how it works as we get more training sequences and things of that nature.

I think in the scene Nyn produced some level of light output, maybe as a byproduct of her first true embracing of the source and healing.

Moira one says something to Alanna about how it looks like Logaine is just sitting there when he’s really fighting against their shield.

I took that to mean that they couldn’t see his weaves.

I also didn’t remember Logaine being that powerful. I knew he was strong but I remember the kids that came out of Emunds Field were all significantly stronger than any of their contemporaries.
